Review by Markus Hengefeld

I go to Dylan shows whenever he's nearby, and right now, that happens to be Berlin.
Since 1987, I've attended numerous concerts, and I must say that his intensity has
only gotten better over the years. His piano playing has developed and now
dominates the concert, fueling the band's intense performance. Jim Keltner, who
has faced criticism lately, did a fantastic job that evening, igniting "Desolation
Row" with his driving rhythm. Dylan seemed fragile, and not every word was clear,
but often, just a hint is enough. I didn't recognize "All Along the Watchtower" at
first, as the famous riff was missing-but was it really missing? I love the way
his songs are constantly reinterpreted, always fresh and exciting.

I attended the concert with some of my children and friends. They didn't understand
everything, but they loved the concert nonetheless, especially because we
experienced it together. The world of his songs, with all their cultural references,
only reveals itself when you dive deeper into it. I believe-and hope-that this
won't be the last we hear from this seemingly fragile man. There's more to come,
as he radiated an impressive energy.

Review by Sergi Fabregat

I could focus on the crazily good harp solos in 'Desolation Row' and 'Baby
Blue', the latter one being an extended ending that kept just going on, on
the funniest groove of 'Masterpiece' (really, it was so rollercoastery
cool, SUCH a part of it all!), on a 'Rubicon' that went harder than a good
heavy song in one of its finest takes, on again newish arrangements of
'Watchtower' and 'Version of You', on a 'Mother of Muses' that has come
across as a sort of last chances...

I could focus on so many things but I really need to rest, (Berlin, ah
what a place, what did take me so long?) and, also, I want to highlight
one song that would and probably will easily go under the radar, as with
so many truly mesmerizing harp solos, so many semi-kneeling approaches, so
many gestures towards us, it's easy to take for granted: 'I've Made Up My
Mind to Give Myself to You'.

Apart from how tired I am now, I find that it would be disrespectful to
what has felt like a truly personal moment between Bob and his song to try
to enclose it with my words. No, tonight I won't.
